INTUMESCENT FIRE PROTECTIVE COATINGS
Intumescent coatings applied to structural steelwork provide up to two hours fire protection. Our supplier Nullifire is a world leader in the development of intumescent fire protective coatings.
With a two hour fire rating and a high quality look comparable to a traditional paint finish, our customers can be confident that our products are not only safe but are also aesthetically pleasing.

HOW DOES IT WORK IN THE CASE OF A FIRE?
In a fire, the paint swells to many times its original thickness providing vital insulation to steel.

FIRE BOARD ENCASEMENTS
Alternatively, steel columns can be encased in fire protective board, which is robust and durable, meaning steel can be protected prior to the building being waterproofed.  These practical encasements can be made suitable for direct decoration or have an applied plaster skim finish.  The fire protection rating changes from one to three hours. Each method offers highly rated standards of fire resistance.
